This is a private company choosing not to talk to or grant special privileges to a publication, and it happens literally all the time in our industry. You know what a journalist does in that case? They write "Nintendo representatives declined to comment" and they move on. There are prominent companies around town that I can pretty much pre-write that in a story because I know they're not calling me back, it's part of the job. So they don't get a day 1 review, that's going to suck for traffic.
