this article says it was about 33, almost 34, years, but even if the math is wrong, you know he was in there for a very long time.

yea, I think it was just one of those moral lesson kinda movies, where it taught him to be less of an asshole and treasure his time

I heard once that the original script for the movie was even worse. I've heard claims that he originally was supposed to be in the loop for maybe thousands of years. And he goes insane, thinking of himself as a god

Originally script was a much darker movie and they decided to lighten it up

that is a lot darker.

I was actually thinking about this because I saw a webtoon called "Im Trapped In This Day For One Thousand Years"

I wonder if he burned some days to do wacky shit like helicopter dick in public or go into a bakery and just break the glass and eat everything. Of course it would probably be one of those days where the time loop stops and he's just boned

That's would be my fear. The day I decide "I wonder what it's like to rob a bank" is the day the loop breaks and I get 20 years in prison.

Well considering he used that time to memorize alot about the people around him like friends, neighbors, his love interest as well as teaching himself different languages and skills he'll have a very productive life ahead of him

I'd be so happy to get out of it that I wouldn't even care about spending 20 years in prison at that point

eh, after youve killed yourself in every conceivable way I like to think insanity loops right back around.

maybe it's because of Groundhog's Day, but I feel like I'm biased towards time-loop movies, and Palm Springs ended up handling that really well.
