She's rich as fuck, the professor's protg, and friends with everybody who works there so why hasn't she invested in it beyond owning less stock than the janitor has?

Amy could have single-handedly given the company enough funding to not only make sure they never have to resort to selling pinup calendars or performing "Nibbler on the Roof", but also improve the working conditions, provide better maintenance on the ship/building, and expand the business, especially with Hermes working his bureaucratic magic.

Her parents are rich as fuck. Them paying for her stuff doesn't mean she has money.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

In this scenario though wouldn't Planet Express technically count as "her stuff"?

No, it's the professor's stuff.

Plus, didn't her parents disagree with her life and just wanted her to be a baby machine?

I also wonder if the revived series will involve a time skip of any kind, since the show always progressed its timeline in real time to always be exactly 1000 years in the future.

Using Amy as an example because the topic is about her, the Futurama Wiki says she was 21 in the first season, so she would be 44 in 3023 if the show were to return this year.

Real-time ages:

Amy - 44
Bender - 27 / uncountable
Cubert - 35
Farnsworth - 182
Fry - 48 / 1048
Hermes - 64
Kif - 47
Leela - 48
Scruffy - 78
Zapp - 51
Zoidberg - 109

They're getting old.

Yeah but since they're bringing it back they're obviously going to need to write around that

Real easy to do. Like, REAL easy. Actually, not even anything to write around. That timeline is done. They go back and now live out their lives in a normal, non frozen in time world. We see what happens when things arent stuck in time. The series finale in absolutely no way impacts a revival. It was done in such a way that it can always remain canon, while never impacting or determining anything else.

She doesn't even technically work there. She was the professor's grad student, and he was presumably not really paying her much anyways, if any at all.
