Had to reread the title because I thought I had misread it.

I can only imagine this doesnt end well. (That, or goes through enough development issues to be cancelled.)

Guessing this'll be a smaller scale like Little Town Hero or Tembo the Badass Elephant (which was published by Sega), since Private Division is publishing it.

Bold of you to assume Nintendo is holding Game Freak back and not the other way around...!

Honestly I assume it's a little Column A, a little Column B.

it's probably a combination of Gamefreak, Nintendo, and The Pokemon Company all being at fault; their release schedules are unsustainable (especially now in 3D) and they seem to feel unwilling to change their development process

I imagine half the development staff will be emergency called back to work on Pokemon to meet the next deadline. Pokemon development being in bad shape can effect the whole company.

Their last few haven't been anything special.

Given Game Freak's recent non-Pokemon games have been mediocre at best and the fact that they haven't released a Pokemon game without technical issues in almost 9 years (and that's assuming I'm not forgetting some technical issues in ORAS), I have no faith in this being good.

I think ORAS started to chug if Mega Rayquaza and the Primals showed up. Triple Battles weren't exactly known for good performance either.

Did they? Has it really been since B2W2 that we've had a Pokemon game without massive frame drops?
