This game is ridiculously good

I am absolutely loving it. First time in a while I couldnt wait to get home to play. Fun playing around with the physics and making custom weapons - already some hilarious contraptions I've seen.

I found out that there's an upper limit to the number of items you can attach to a single object

Tried the dupe trick. Its working the exact way he says in the video but when I pick up the two bows I dont get any new item. Just the same amount I had before starting

It's possible to get the visual confirmation on the menu but not get the item just means you're not fast enough with the +. If you did it right, when you unpause the second time you'll see both your dropped bows appear at the same time

From what I've seen, you'll know you did it right if the bows are on top of each other. The difference for me seems to be whether I pressed the start button fast enough.

No you can't access the towers without the glider. The door won't open. They aren't climbing puzzles anymore. They blast you from the ground into the sky layer

You do not get access to the towers prior to getting the glider. On ones that they are unlocked in the first place someone will not let you in and for the ones that require a quest the people in question either will be busy or won't be there in the first place. This all being kind of a given considering you get launched out initially as a part of the quest that *gives* you the glider, after you get the glider.

That said, it's only the towers that actively do not work without the glider. There are a lot of ways to get chucked into the air high while not having the glider. In addition there are a couple of quests (such as Impa's) that act like you have the glider even if you don't.

One thing I've found pretty questionable so far is that they didn't bring back Hero's Path for some reason. I get why Master Mode will probably be DLC again, but not sure why Hero's Path couldn't be implemented immediately.

This game is the ultimate in "hold up a minute". I keep setting off with a particular but vague idea in mind (e.g. "go to that tower over there"), and within 30 seconds I spot something else and my ADHD kicks in and hours later I remember I still havent' got to that tower.

by the time I got it I was near the end of the game. its great seeing where you've been after all that time. hits different than starting with the feature.

They were talking about the hot air balloon quest from Impa. She tells you to jump off and glide over the geomark after you're already crazy high in the sky

That was me!

I talked to Cado (the wandering Shiekah) in Hyrule Field and he's like "go that way" so I'm like kay and I found Impa, floated up in the balloon and she's like "cool now just paraglide down" and I'm like lol don't got splat restart.

Don't worry about it. you're going to go splat many times even with the paraglider.

I came across a dispenser that gives Zonai cannon parts, attached one to my weapon and mining is now simple lol. Also great for a pack of mobs.

How do you beat the lava talus in death mountain cave? You can't stand on it cause lava and pulling out a bomb arrow immediately explodes.

Haven't gotten there yet, but can you use ice? That's what you had to do in BotW.

Haven't fought one yet but maybe try hitting it with water arrows/water element throwables

Yeah regular chu jelly cools it down for a few seconds.

Bring a strong weapon you don't have a lot of time to attack it.

i just started it recently. still exploring the Sky Islands after doing all the first 3 shrines but damn i'm loving it so far!

it's really fun to play around with the Zoni devices and build all sorts of crazy stuff! or even attach rocks to your swords and use them as giant hammers! lol

This game all the weapons do shit damage. The "real" weapons are the random monster parts. You get like a 6 damage broad sword and attach a +25 damage talus chunk to it and now you have a 31 damage sword.

Rocks only add +1 or 2 damage so they're great for smashing up walls but they're not great for killing enemies.

Yeah, I quickly realized they really encourage you to fight enemies this time, lol. If you don't, you're not getting the good weapons.

I've been exploring a bunch and I've found some pretty good weapons. The bows I've been getting are normally around 11 strength, but I've found a 14 strength bow and a 24 strength bow. I also got a Zonai spear that does 37 damage. I just broke it last night doing the Rito dungeon, though.

I have a 41 damage sword no fuse. Can't say where I got it because spoilers but if I get another one I'm gonna fuse the two to have 82 damage sword.

Yeah, there's no way I'm gonna remember where I've found stuff at this point. After I did the first mission to go to the depths, I just started exploring all over the place. I've done a bunch of shrines, activated a bunch of towers, and explored a number of sky islands. I've probably run into a few mini bosses that I was a bit early for. As long as you can figure out the attack pattern and figure out what you need to do in order to beat them, it's not too bad even if you only have 4 hearts.

I'm at 8 hearts and 2 1/5 stamina wheels now.

The sword came from a boss that always drops this shit afaik so it's gonna be easy to remember where to get one it's just a very difficult fight.

Ye, the boss dank is the easiest/best to remember as you should probably be putting a "boss sticker" on all of them and at worst you will want to do them for the sake of getting a fusion piece to make a weapon pretty OP. It's for that reason that the only stuff I really remember besides them is the path through Hyrule Castle that I sneak around to grab a couple of loose weapons.

That and Hyrule Field's Tower (ie. one that pretty much anyone who has started the game should have) has a spiky ball not too far outside of the entrance that you can grab for a much better hammer (better than random rocks, anyways). As it's really only the one that is so easy to get to (that I know of) it's hard to really use it as a weapon, but it has respectable enough attack that you could definitely make it work.

Is it me or are star fragments easier to find in this one.

All the rare stuff is easier to get this time. Except maybe the dragon parts. Now there's new rare shit that's hard to get.

My favorite of these moments was when I went splat fighting a near death Gleeok because I was too focused on the Gleeok himself and not watching where I was at.

You can ascend through all kinds of shit like flux construct 3.

I use it the most in the depths to get up mushrooms

Ascend is basically the "spoiler" for most every puzzle that I struggle with. It's to the point that if I'm stuck on anything I'll just look for spots to use Ascend if it's taking too long and I'm not figuring anything out. And even then I'll still forget about it.

The infiltration shrine was neat. I only did one so far but I hope there's more.

It's weird how easy it is to forget you have it when it's probably the most practical of all the new abilities. I guess it being less flashy just makes it stand out less.
