They hyped it up for weeks with just the title, and no clips or artwork. Just said "... stay tuned after Snick for a sneak peak of our newest show Catdog!",

So then when it was revealed what they were, it was even more WTF. And this was at 10 p.m., so nearly being half-asleep made it even more of a fever dream.

That show always felt so depressing to me. Like no one was pleasant. Iirc even their long lost parents sucked

I barely watched it once it started, but I do remember there was a sneak peak/pilot episode possibly months before the rest of the show aired.

I remember but I dont' remember it being at night. I remember it being in the day and I really enjoyed it. The episode with the taco buffet is still my favorite episode.

Catdog was huge. Like just as much cultural relevance as prime SpongeBob. But now no one really remembers Catdog.

Probably? I almost said Chalkzone, but nearly everyone hated that. But you either loved or hated Catdog.
