I can't stand people like this, and the smug look on her face as she's staring into the camera just makes it even more cringe. I also bet she'd go into a full Karen meltdown if she so much as suspected anyone were doing this to her, whether they actually were or not.

I gotta say, I dont care for the whole filming strangers in the gym for clicks/views thing, but the rise of the genre of dude sitting in his car reacting to other peoples content has got to be a low point for humanity.

For real, from everything I can gather, it's a toxic place.

It's really not. You're seeing maybe 1% or 2% of gym interactions. It just seems common because it gets a ton of attention on social media.

I see people doing stupid things at the gym all the time. No one films them or bothers them because everyone is too busy doing their own thing.

I've never been to a Y. The only ones out here are in sketchy areas lol.

But I've been to 24 Hour Fitness, Planet Fitness and LA Fitness and it's always chill. You do have the young guys/girls that spend more time chatting than working out, but even they keep to themselves / keep to their circle

There is plenty of outdoor stuff to do around here, so I never understood why people would pay for a gym...IDK, not my world. It kinda feels like a Casino in ways.

Joey Swole does not make callout videos because its important to society to name and shame repulsive individuals, he does it because its what will get him the most clicks and make him the most money from his current audience.

I see this guy posted occasionally here on CE, and it's awkward because he does make some valid points in regard to people behaving like assholes in the gym, but I also get the vibe that he dislikes women

being in public = you can be filmed and you cant do anything about it unless you want to be the one to get arrested.

Since most gyms are accessible to the public, it is not a violation of privacy laws to record someone in a gym's common area.

Like I said, as soon as you leave the house, be prepared to be filmed, or else you might be the one getting arrested for harassment if you try to stop someone from filming you by getting physical or verbally abusive.

By the way this does not mean someone can follow you around with a camera and film you as you walk around doing your thing... That's obviously against the law and not the same thing as someone filming at the gym, and you just happen to be in the background.

The only ones who can stop or are business owners. If they ask them to stop filming then then they have to. They're in a provtarely owned business, not public.

So everyone who goes to the gym is a douche or are you talking about people filming?
