How do you ban something like that?
How do you know a government won't one day be co-opted by a party with dangerous view, like Republicans? What if Republicans had the power to make being a republican illegal? Best not to give that power to any person or organization.

Republicans have long ceased being an actual political party. They don't govern, they actively want to harm the systems they are employed to run. Trump's clown cabinet should be all the indication that's necessary to make that judgement.

Not sure what you do when a political party has drifted so far away from their actual purpose and routinely attempts to cause harm to citizens. But disbanding sounds like a good start.
