Just curious to see how prevalent being moderated is, or if it's just a vocal minority of posters that keeps getting moderated.

If I have, I've forgotten what it was for

Couple NKLs (or whatever they call them nowadays) and a warn for calling goppers a naughty word.

Modded w/o karma loss for calling religion fiction. This was about 3 weeks ago.

Just a forewarning, posting certain moderations might result in a secondary moderation that could be more severe, but I guess your mileage may vary.

The last time I was modded I posted a topic meant for this board on the NFL board. It was a nkl but just embarrassing a bit. I was also really drunk too. That was probably last year.

Otherwise my overall mod total is under 10 a couple were discouraging though.

Granted I don't post a lot, generally try to avoid arguments, and am newer than most other users here.

I remember getting some off topic moderations (nkl - though they were on topic just obviously spun in a way that could be seen as off topic) and one moderation where I made a joke that I was underage (that was really dumb,if I only said a different age it woulda been fine) I had to prove to the staff that I was able to post here by matching my e-mail with a eBay account and other things. I said enough already. Probably some of the bad posters here who get modded a lot (on this site in general), I laugh at b/c I didn't believe they are serious (or want to believe anyway).

I have never been modded before.

I've been moderated once, each in 2012 and 2020. The former for trying to post a YouTube video (I didn't know how to at the time) and the latter for trying to show a troll an objective statement that they can't seem to get.

Nothing in 2023 for me.

My last suspe made no sense. It was one of those times where it legitimately left me confused and perplexed in seeing how that post was anywhere near moddable, or at the very least "abusive behavior". Even the mod response was vague.

Yes a few imes. Last one I was put on warned which I thought was completely unfair.

If there was a badge for reaching 50 moderations I would have reached it long ago.

It's been several years since I was moderated. Iirc both of my last ones were me being blocked during a mental breakdown. Not my proudest moments, and when my account was reactivated I received a notice that if it happens again I'd likely just be straight up banned. So, I've tightened things down on my emotional outbursts to keep a place where I can talk with people. >_>

I don't think so. The only one on my account is from almost a year ago when I was really, really drunk and depressed and said some stupid shit and got a week of purgatory. Stupid shit that was so horrifyingly bad that it was up for 4 days until any moderation happened. If I was moderated since then, I forgot.

2 of them for sharing a link I'm not supposed to share (yeah, fine, didn't even question it). Could have been 2021.

1 was an absolute bs moderation because some mod deemed my posting as a spoiler about a game, but the mod obviously has not played the game at all.

ik i got warned and ghosted maybe last year over monkeypox, i quoted what the article said and one of the mods i guess didn't like it and warned me for homophobia(?), and on appeal when i pointed out it was only what the article said in response to another poster who made the claim first that it was a gay couple who passed it on to a newborn, as he didn't post a source so I did.

Still awaiting a response on that, guess no one wanted to touch it lol

In fairness I think it was worth getting warned to let Tony Kojima know the vast majority of gamefaqs views as an unfunny joke account or a <something so bad it can't be said> and very very few people viewed as entertaining or that his gimmick was remotely clever.

I also had no qualms running my mouth on 261 a few times even if it meant a 3 day vacation. Im not sad to see it go, I mean everything is political anyway so just watch some cartoons or something

Posting false spoilers is moderated just the same as if you posted real ones. Always has been the case, always will be.

I was discouraged when I posted on a stream share topic on the NFL board but did not share a stream nyself and only said that I was there. Git 3kl for that, but those two were my most serious. I guess I shared them all. Except for the off topic board hunt ones.
