What gets me though, is this dude in his "konfession" deliberately leaves out the bigger issue and just plays it down as adultery... but when the truth forcibly komes out against his will, they still treat him as if his plea for forgiveness is genuine. People really don't want to believe their heroes are fucked.

Pretty much what it's always been. Only thing I like about religion is some of the positive lessons it teaches, but considering "holier than thou" hypocrites try to use it for indoctrination, manipulation and evil religion organizations and those in power need to be regularly investigated for all sorts of illegal activity.

That's actually what they teach and it's all mostly bullshit. If you do horrible things all throughout your life, even to other people, but accept Christian God as the only one and absolute God and His Son, Jesus Christ, as your saviors you will be saved. But what they don't like to tell people, or talk about, is according to the Bible you NEED to believe that that is a absolute truth, because if you have even a shred of doubt, which we all do since we are only human and seeing is believing, it doesn't really work then.

Apparently, which means like 99%, if not all of us, are royally fucked if it's true, because once we die and will be judged, it's better to acknowledge our sins and accept our punishment, even though to not sin at all is impossible and the game of life and even existence is horribly rigged against us.

I hope criminal procedures play out as if he was not a religious man. I don't know what know what community this happened in, but maybe they can at least understand the importance of repentance and that sometimes it will be for the rest of a person's life (obviously he won't get a full life sentence without there being any murder involved, but the point still stands).

This happened in my own community, this very video I mean. It was... sobering to say the least.

All of these pastors raping people just shows that there isn't a God, or if one does exist, they do not care about humans.

Also, churches should be taxed.

Anyone who thinks this will have to answer before God in this case. He's not dumb, that kind of supposed "loophole" won't work. He looks for true forgiveness, a willingness to want to change. Though some feel there are "unforgivable sins" like rape and murder.

I feel like a lot of supposed "Christians" are gonna go to hell regardless of what they believe. Many are hypocrites, especially the ones condoning and hiding predatory behavior like what this topic showed.

Youre missing the point. His actions are far worse than simple adultery. He used his position as pastor to manipulate, sexually abuse and rape an underage girl which is heinous.

Yeah, he knows how terrible it was considering he tried to disguise it as simple adultery and it took her coming forward to provide the entire context. He likely only came forward because she likely warned him that she wouldn't remain silent about it anymore and that he wanted to try and save face and seem like a good, devout Christian by coming out with it first and repenting. Besides being illegal, immoral and destroying his rep, he also kept it a secret for a long time because he knew it would put a end to his and his family's gravy train of amassing and living good off of the congregation tithes. Goes to show how terrible religion and those involved with it can really be.

I believe God forgives. I'm not sure God will forgive people who keep willfully sinning in the same way in order to game the system.

Man, I really don't know what to say, though I'm honestly not surprised at all. I even personally experienced a pastor and a youth pastor admit to intentional animal cruelity that was fairly recent (at the time). One resulting in death. Somehow it was hilarious and everyone had a good laugh, as I sat there just "...". They were in completely different counties too.

It's no wonder shortly after that I decided it just wasn't for me. That and other stuff they pulled.

I mean thats a good point. It is hard to say where or if there's a line that God draws. Maybe I'm just being too judgemental. Its hard not to be emotional and judgemental when its situations as described in the OP. One of the biggest things that tests faith of religious people.
