As expected, only the hardcore fans bought the game while casuals don't give a shit. Nintendo loses millions because of this.

I love that they localized the two Famicom Detective Club games and the first Fire Emblem, but not Mother 3. If they ever actually localize Mother 3 and it sells like shit, I'd probably cry because of how stupid people are.

This is also true. Mother 3 is the absolute finale of the series and neither Nintendo or Shigesato Itoi have any interest in continuing it.

if they localize it, they should do digital only. The only cost would be what it costs to pay the translator.

or just buy the fan translation. It would make a lot of fans happy.
