I've heard Linkedin is a bit sketchy considering now it's saturated with bots and scam artists. I feel hesitant putting in my social security over some application form I'm not sure is actually credible. I've also heard that job applications are now easily filtered out and most applications end up not being seen at all. Am I fighting a losing battle? I don't have a car and I'm also disabled.

Maybe the only way I'll get a job is if I become tiktok famous huh? I regret not majoring in the arts now.

ZipRecruiter. They send me updates to let me know that people are actually checking my resume at least so it doesnt feel as hopeless when I get no calls or emails.

also had a couple recruiters reach out. They all offered ten less then what I was currently making so that didnt lead to anything at all but still at least there was contact.

How do you discern which ones are scams and the ones that are actually real?

Im on indeed and getting zero interviews lol. Granted Im not applying as much but guess Ill try again.

You could try setting up a subscription to FlexJobs. I've never used it but apparently all of their jobs are scanned and approved before being posted on their job board so they have 0 scam jobs. They also have a high number of remote jobs which would be perfect for you since you're disabled and don't have a car.

Yeah, I uploaded it to a few sites back when I was looking for work in several different countries.

Dont get me wrong, a lot of what they come to me with isnt of much interest to me, but its a nice safety net to have if I get desperate at some point and occasionally good stuff comes up.

Good point. It doesn't hurt to have a safety net.

Use a temp agency

I've had 6 interviews in the last week and a half.

Use indeed and linked in. Usually the government site of your state has some sort of job search too.

Cool. That sounds like it makes job hunting a lot easier.

I found my current job through Zip Recruiter. I applied to a lot of places and had several interviews until I nailed one said yes. Yes there were some I felt were scams but I simply ghosted them right after.

Recently, I went on a local hospital's website and applied for a few things. I'm changing industries and they pounced all over me. No medical field history experience, but plenty of office stuff. Now I'm deciding between several offers from them.
