RIP to a legend.

My favorite stories of him are when he got popped for a drug test and was told he was positive for drugs, but he misunderstood what that meant and thought that was a good thing. "See? Sheik positive! That's good!"

And when he was doing a show in the Memphis territory and the athletic commissioner in Louisville forbade any wrestler to get on the microphone during a show. Sheik enters the ring and goes towards the ring announcer (who happened to be Jim Cornette) and tried to do his typical anti-American promo, but Cornette kept the mic away while saying "the commissioner" trying to remind Sheik of the rule. After a brief struggle, Sheik grabs Cornette's arm and pulls it so that the mic is in front of his face and yells "AH FUCK THE COMMISSIONER!".

Jeff Hardy is still around too, but man I freaking adore Jake the Snake what a cool character.

It's kind of sad majority of people will remember him for being that comedy drunk/high ex-pro wrestler shouting that camel clutch, and fuck him in the... line, fuck Brian Blair, and Hulk Hogan, thinking the negative on his drug test being good, and the ride with Jim Duggan, rather than his accomplishments in wrestling. His run with Volkoff was pretty good, and he was the original suplex machine.

If anyone was made humble, well. Jim Duggan lmao
