We have had these new neighbors for about a year and they keep yelling at my kids and the kids that come over to play to "Shut the fuck" because they are being "too loud" and they have complained to me that I should discipline my kids over their noise levels. I personally don't find their noise levels to be that bad as they are between the ages of 7-12. I finally got to the point where I called him out and asked him why he would choose to live next to a house that very obviously has kids(we have a huge tree house, jungle gym, trampoline and pool) he said he didn't notice any of that when they decided on the place.

how are they saying it? Are they calm or pissed?

He's actually saying to stfu to the kids?

If so, tell him to get fucked. Then give your kid a drum set.

Good idea. Or call the cops and report that the guy threatened the kids for playing on their own property at a reasonable hour.

I personally wish the everyone had more privacy, but this is the world that we created. Youve got people on top of people and I literally cannot walk outside to talk on the phone without four people hearing every word that I say. With that said, Im not special, so I deal with the bullshit. My windows and doors are not sealed, so you can hear EVERYTHING that happens. Lawn mowers, kids playing, dogs barking, industrial noise, everything. It sucks, but that doesnt give me a license to scream at someone for using an angle grinder at 8:15pm (even if it is a dick move)

Basically, I listen to other peoples kids making noise 24/7, so if I can go seven years without blowing up, so can this asshole. Part of why I hate subdivisions is because you always get these people who have never lived near neighbors and come in with this this is the way its going to be attitude like theyre the chief of the neighborhood or something

You aren't responsible for his lack of due diligence when buying the house. Kids are noisy. Well-disciplined kids are still noisy.

I'd tell him to mind his own business, and if he has a problem, he is free to take it up with the authorities. But as far as you are concerned, the matter is closed and his parenting advice is not welcome. And yeah, if he used that kind of language to the kids, I'd be reporting him and thinking about some kind of restraining order.

To be honest, he just sounds like some self-important shitbag who likes to tell others what to do. If it wasn't the kids, he'd be whining about something else.

I would get a game of kickball or something started, a game where everyone gets loud.

Kids are loud. It's what they do. Deal with it.

I'd tell the guy to go fuck himself and threaten to kick his ass if he yells and swears at the kids again.

Yea him and his gf/wife were going on at me about this is why they would never have kids and shit like that today. I was basically like I don't care.

It's funny because he does that to get under our skin and annoy the kids but I'm a pretty big heavy metal fan and my kids have grown up listening to it so they treat it as an invitation to go more buck when he does it.

There is no need to go to war. I'm pretty sure they are just a couple that hates kids. My kids know to get me or my wife if they attempt to do anything other than yell at them and their friends.

And honestly that is where most of my questioning came from, like we sit with our massive picture windows wide open with the kids playing right out side and I can sit inside and watch something at a reasonable level and still hear my TV fine. Yet this guy acts as if they are inside ransacking his fucking house.

Lol thanks, I don't do much right in life but I like to believe my parenting is top notch, in spite of growing up without parents of my own to teach me anything.

Noisy kids are annoying, but someone going as far as cursing them are ten times worse. Tell that guy to fuck off and give him the finger.
