For those who don't know, Jon Gotti was a very public mobster back in the day, everybody knew the dude was a murderous criminal yet he was hanging out with celebraties and being treated like a movie star, had fans and every thing, made a mockery of the justice system and eventually got so overconfident he started bragging about his crimes, finally got caught, got a lot of his associates caught and ultimately died in prison. Think the story will repeat itself with Trump?

No. For all his bravado, Gotti at least had the wits not to run for president.

If Trumple was mobbed up, and ran his mouth as much as he does, let's just say that things would have went very bad for him long before now.
Trumple isn't a mobster, he's a mook.

Gotti at least had style.

One is a made man; one is a chambermaid man.

Gotti made his underlings in the Gambino family pay homage to him at his social club in Little Italy which let the feds get pics of every major mobster in the family and helping them tie everything together as a criminal conspiracy.

That sounds like something Trump would totally do at Mar-a-lago.

This too. He wasn't called the "dapper don" for nothing.

Some figure Gotti lived longer being incarcerated than he would have on the streets.

Many bosses of other families and some of his own was looking to take him out.

When you look at Trump, he really does run things like a mob boss. Consiglieri, cronies, nepotism, shady deals - he's running a syndicate.

He could have continued on pretty successfully if he only stayed out of politics.

Trump literally has the same nickname as Gotti in certain circles: 'Teflon Don.'

Funnily enough, this parallel has always given me hope, because Gotti certainly was untouchable legally...right up until the point he finally got his ass convicted and died in prison.
