...blurry when paused?

And is there a term for it (because I'm sure there's a term for everything)?

I'm sure I'm not the only guy who watched action movies (well, star wars in my case) and thought, "hey, this scene would make an excellent wallpaper"... only to discover that only blurry pictures result from the pause button.

Persistence of vision + motion blur. Your brain sees all the blurry frames plus blank screen and reinterprets it as crisp because real life has motion and most things you're not focusing on are blurry.

Also worse when it is cinematic 24fps that your tv converts to 120 fps.

Ah, thanks.
Also... never understood how that technology worked (24fps to 120fps.... where do the extra frames come from? AI generates it by "guessing"?).
