Proving Grounds dude using Thanos, Daredevil, Galactus and Spider-Man. What a douche

Honestly actually want them to ban cards like HE and Galactus from at least Proving Grounds. That should be the tier where you can actually have fun and not be constantly put up against sweatlord meta losers nonstop

Thing is it's also a low-pressure way to test out those decks against actual players for people who are new to those cards

They can test them in Silver then where the stakes are still almost low enough to be meaningless. As it is now the literal only difference between Ranked and Conquest is Cubes. The friend match thing isnt even like a thing people seem to care about so there is still no Casual mode because Conquest became a try hard sweat fest super fast :(

I just switched out Lockjaw and Jubilee from this deck because they were never getting played for Zabu and Magik. Thoughts? Possible improvements? I'm really feeling like Zabu is probably not that great in here because he's more likely to be hit by Sauron than get played, or at least that has been the case since putting him in the deck.

I would ditch one of Sunspot or Nebula and add Lizard. I would say you might be able to throw Enchantress in there too in order to make Zabu more valuable.

Both Nebula and Sunspot have been consistently getting more than 5 power when played, though Nebula tends to be the most consistent and they have been nuked by Killmonger a couple times. Lizard is difficult to slot in here for me because I don't want to play him until Sauron has been played other wise he is relatively useless.

Enchantress might be ok for when i have to play TM or RS before I can play Sauron or Zero.

Switched out Zabu for Spider-Ham

Since deciding to save for the cache/reserve change Im sitting on almost 3k credits right now. The cap is 10k isnt it? Feel like maybe they should raise that, but then people could hoard easier and they dont want that

So what is the consensus on hoarding or opening?

With gold coming out of caches and tokens dropping to almost nothing I'm leaning towards opening now.

Depends on your Series 4/5 roster

If you need a lot of the good ones, definitely hoard

If you have basically everything you want, opening is potentially the right move

True, but seeing the red number will tempt me! Also dont really have anyone I wanna upgrade at the moment, but I guess I could fix that with Conquest boosters

I just pulled the trigger on spider ham to get that 300 token refund and it is incredibly satisfying to make ironman pigs at 5/0.

Which is what I did in three of my first four games with him

I wish Ham wasnt glitched. Hes registered as never before seen for me about 6 times already

Also just made a random all girls team and won a Conquest match so that was nice. Figured Id use them to get more boosters since the gold variant is still a pile of cards I almost never use. I swear its like that on purpose. I see Ant Man like every single day in the variant section and never anyone I actually use a lot

Black Panther bundle kicks the shit out of the upcoming Spider-Man one token wise. Dont really care much about the card, but 6k tokens is absolutely worth grabbing. Morbius bundle is also crazy if its actually $5 since it looks more like it would be $15. Kinda want the Anime Spider-Man/Black Widow and Anime Storm/Captain Marvel sets, but no way I have the gold to afford all 3 of those by then.

Spider-Ham feels cheap in a really silly way that I have not seen anyone else talk about, which is that bots clearly do not understand their cards have been changed to Pig. Saw a bot spend three energy to add -3 points and close off their own lane over my lunch break. Think I saw a round six 5/0 Pigmaster play a day or two ago.

Its interesting that some of these are just repeats of bundles that happened last summer during beta (which is why they seem thematically out of place like Love & Thunder)

I wonder if this is precedent that notable bundles will come back around or if its just for beta ones

It would be cool if the My Hero Arachnia and One-Punch Women variants had art actually by Horikoshi and ONE/Murata rather than just being named that as anime references

How exactly does Spider-Ham work? I thought he was supposed to remove the abilities of cards, but it seems like that hasn't been the case because people keep playing pigs and they seem to keep the abilities.

He does, but some still get to keep boosts like Evo Pig Hulk I think

Yeah it should only be Knull and High Evo Hulk keeping any power they accumulated before being Pigged, but no more after

It was both those cards that it has been happening with. Fuck that's lame.

They said its just temporary until they fix the UI to give more information so that those growing numbers dont need to be on the cards when theyre in your hand

Wait, so they get to keep their accumulated power because the UI is barebones, but they are going to make that not the case when they update the UI?

Like Morbius has a similar growing power level, but hes always 2/0 in your hand because you can always check to see how powerful hell be

But there is no tracker for Total Power Destroyed or Turns With Unspent Energy so they chose to give those cards their current power level in your hand so you know WTF you are about to play, and the Pig effect is stuck with the power theyre displaying because thats how the engine works.

The goal is to make any Ongoing more like Morbius, probably when they roll out the big UI update for the official PC version launch, but for now they chose giving the player information over internal consistency

I lucked into free Venom Lockjaw at some point who is my actual favorite Lockjaw variant. That one is OK though. I do think I prefer it to default

Yea, I wish it was move a random card from each player instead of 1 card from a random player and on top of that, when a card moves there it cannot be moved again.

Yeah I don't like great web. I think if it moved one from both sides every turn it'd be more interesting

Ive tried this but its still too inconsistent and theyll probably fill it too the moment they see kingpin. Or great web has already filled it for them. Juggernaut can only do so much.

does it keep their power or does it recalculate based the number of turns you had unspent energy?

Morph should be able to copy Hulk at whatever power he has too I think?

I actually don't know, I had the location that swapped hands on turn 6 and snuck out a win against him for 8 cubes at the start of a conquest match.

He proceeded to win 5 2 cube wins in a row because I couldn't draw Luke Cage in all 6 games and he kept hitting my C3 setups :(

Yeah High Evo alters the cards at the start of the match. Their new abilities are not dependent on whether or not you have High Evo too if you steal or copy them.

As for whose unspent energy turns count once you steal Hulk, I think its still your opponents? Thats how it is when Leader steals him right?

Its based on your own unspent turns whether you got it from Cable, Daily Bugle, Leader, Oscorp Tower (somehow) etc. If it were an On Reveal and it had been played, then it would be different for some circumstances, like with Black Panther or Gamora.

The one kind of inconsistency is that if you get a She-Hulk from Mindscape on turn 6, its energy cost will depend on your opponents unused turn 5 energy rather than yours.

Just bought Hit-Monkey for my bounce deck, have played 5 games so far and haven't drawn him in any of them. :|

So I was just playing my nonsense deck which just consists of cards I want Boosters for in Ranked mode. I hit 70 and dont think Ill get to 90 so it doesnt matter to my rank.
