MATCH 1

Travelers into the shadow is really cool from 0:14-1:34. Very dark, eerie sound that's pretty enjoyable to me. 0:40 is a neat shift in tone that compliments the rest of that portion of the song. Everything after 1:34 loses me though.

An Empty Tome is decent throughout, but doesn't have any moments that are as good as that first half of Travelers. This is one of those matches, though, where I pick a song that has lower peaks but is more consistently good over the song that has higher highs and lower lows. Still, I don't really have a strong preference here, and it was difficult to decide when filling out the favorites bracket. I'm feeling more solidly An Empty Tome today though.

MATCH 2

Deadman's Gun is a nice example of how a simple song can pack a lot into it. From harmonizing vocals to lots of layers accompanying the acoustic guitar, this song has a lot to offer. Even though this song doesn't resonate super strongly with me, I appreciate it for what it does!

Really enjoy that arpeggiated lead in X-Naut Fortress. It's a pretty exciting song. Makes you feel like you're kicking down the front door and storming inside, ready to take on whatever awaits you.

MATCH 3

Don't Speak Her Name's a solid song as always. Not the best of what Fire Emblem has to offer, but still enjoyable to listen to.

Millenium Spark has a really cool and upbeat melody to it. In particular, I really enjoy it when it hits the high notes. Also, that lick at around 0:34-0:35 stands out quite a bit to me for some reason.

Travelers into the shadow was really good but sadly not much can beat a good Castlevania first area theme for me.
Millenium Spark was SO GOODDD OMG i love this song, gotta play 30XX some time it seems fun.
