Another funky metroidvania in the books. I'm sure everyone already knows about this game it's pretty much a straight Metroid but with a ton of different guns to use and hacking abilities to manipulate the environment.

Platinum requires 2 playthroughs minimum. First a 100% run on Hard mode to get familiar with the game, then a speed run in under 4 hours making sure to collect less than 40% of all items and not dying. Also had to make sure to find one of the secret worlds which is different every save file so you just kinda have to come across it and also make sure to glitch every enemy in the game at least once.

It can be challenging at times, but it's manageable. Once you get some of the later guns that can go through walls most enemies just give up and whenever you're in danger of taking damage you can always double tap a direction to teleport out of the way.

I think I own the sequel already I'd have to look. My understanding is it goes in a different direction and is more melee focused with a new main character, although the one from this game is still involved in some way. I guess I'll find out whenever I get around to it!

Axiom verge was great. Sequel is fine; it has a lot of questionable design choices, and overall just not as good as the first. You can skip it imo
