It hurts me to know that anti-abortionists (the genuine ones) really do mean well and do believe they're protecting an innocent life.

Granted, they're wrong, and most of them are dumb ass hypocrites, but I at least sympathize with wanting to prevent a perceived injustice.

In the sense that they explicitly want to be unquestionable tyrants with absolute control over every aspect of their people's lives, right down to their bodies, yes. Of course, that doesn't stop them from affording themselves the same freedoms that they deny to everyone else. "Rules for thee, not for me" and all that.

In the sense of whether they actually believe a word of that "human life is sacred" crap that they spout, no. That's clearly shown to be a total crock by how they treat people the very attosecond that their umbilical cords are cut, as well as by their party policies which are ultimately just extensions of that behavior.
