Not groundbreaking (well, it was back then, I guess), but interesting. And funny. I saw someone playing it forever ago, though I think it was remade. It also changes the order of things everytine you go through. And has mirror choices. It wasnt easy on the arcade, but a little easier for home use. Especially since you werent limited to quarters Haha.

It was...

Gameplay wise it's just some dumbass click the glow (if you're lucky, since the glow can be disabled) to watch a cutscene...

But take the day it was released... June 1983. Its competitors were NES Mario 1 and Arcade Spy Hunter/Pole Position 2

This would be like having full oculus rift in 1992

I was recommended the SNES version by a used game store back in the day and felt scammed when I played it. traded it in soon after.

Yes.

why is it in the pole?

It's not, it's in the poll.

it looks like some cartoon with choices

Because that's pretty much exactly what it is.

Though less "choices" and more "move the joystick in the right direction when the screen flashes".

accord posted...
is it good?

In it's own time, yes. Now? Most people would probably find it boring and kind of pointless.

But people today also suck, so their opinions are meaningless anyway.

is it some groundbreaking stuff?

Yes.

The arcade version was fully animated by Don Bluth. The graphics were absolutely amazing for 1983. Heck, they're still pretty good even today. It was literally like playing a cartoon.

Yeah, I remember this and Space Ace showing up in the arcades as a kid and it was like full on sorcery.
