It's the Tales of the Space Age set, so probably pretty solid. Might survive a move. But idk. Should I?

I also don't really know where I'd display it when finished yet, either.

It wouldn't be an inconvenience to pack, it's four 3.5x5.5" dioramas. it's more just a risk of it breaking during the move.

I'm planning on hiring movers if I do end of having to, so idk how much of a fuck they give which is a concern but probably not a huge one. and it'd just be like a neighborhood move, not like.... across country.

its made to be built and come apart and be put back together again and again, its been rigorously tested

Just keep the box and put them in it when you move. Or disassemble them vefore the move. I've built this set and it doesn't take long at all to build or take apart.

i don't have a car

i have friends who do but we're all well into our 30s who wants to help anyone fucking move lol

either the movers take it in a box or it goes in a backpack or pannier and that seems much riskier

There's this magical thing called bubble wrap. I'm not sure if you've heard of it. You use it to protect things from getting damaged in a package/move. you can get a 50ft roll of it from Home Depot for like $10

They'd almost definitely be fine in a backpack.

If it's really worrying, put them between two pieces of cardboard and then wrap that in something, it'll be good to go in a bag.

i've got a shitload of legos already, i'm obviously going to be using fucktons of bubble wrap if i have to move.

the dilemma is, do i want to use more/should i just play videogames this evening instead, i guess.

I just got and built some shelves dedicated to my Legos. Much better than them just kinda being randomly all over the place. They look so much better all together.

I like the classic themed sets. I have the 3 in 1 castle, pirate ship and viking ship, as well as the medieval blacksmith.

Eldorado Fortress is almost out, I'm definitely getting that.

Oh and to the TC, buy the Legos. >:)

So that set takes about an hour to assemble, 20 minutes to disassemble. The shooting stars on the leftmost piece are not well secured, so they'd be likely to get lost. Just disassemble it before you move.
