okay i just think i wasnt int he mood for the ar tonelico song before, its better than i remembered, but still i think it has like one RELALY good part and then the rest is just fairly good so i think got more raves wins still but damn

Didn't get a chance to discuss the tiebreaker match's songs when they were first up, so I'll talk about them here.

Chronicle Key's one of the first Ar tonelico songs I listened to, if I recall correctly. This was around the time when I was first introduced to what a Gust or a Falcom was, and I had yet to discover my blossoming b8 taste (outside of Umineko songs haha). In fact, I think I first heard this during a guessing game on the discord server shortly after being introduced to VGMC by NFUN, and the song was a big hit with me! At the time, I only knew Akiko Shikata for her Umineko songs and maybe her Tales of Symphonia anime songs, but I already really liked her music and hearing her Ar tonelico songs like this one only solidified that. Her vocal work is incredible, and the melodies here are great too, especially at parts like 1:50 and 3:07.

Got more raves takes a little bit to get going for me, but once it does, it's pretty cool! The first minute doesn't really stand out to me at all except for the percussion, but that looping melody at 0:58 is neat, particularly when it's more prominent at parts like 2:35. 1:42-1:58 is something I like as well. The more dissonant parts of the song aren't my thing, but they're pretty tolerable here, so I don't really mind.
