The timer is what makes it fun though, making a plan on what you're going to accomplish that day, then executing that plan and watching all the treasures reach your ship at the same time is so satisfying to watch.

I used to get excited and pre-order games on Amazon, then I'd end up cancelling them when I realized I wouldn't get it on release. Never understood how they can't get the logistics going to get the games to people for release day.

You only actually need 25 to "win" the game, so you might be okay. In practice, the final boss that you need to beat for #30 is far and away the hardest challenge in the game, so there's a good chance you wouldn't hit 30 for the best ending anyway.

Pikmin 3 is honestly one of my favorite games of all time. In 10 years its kinda never really left my regular rotation of games. I replay it at least once a year, sometimes more than that. It's also a nice starting point for the series for newcomers. It's just an incredibly satisfying game to play.

Finally got my hands on Pikmin 4! 100% on the first area, 86% on the second, 8000 Sparklium. This game is good! Its like a mix of Pikmin 2 and 3. Its pretty easy so far though. Oatchi is ridiculously OP.

100% on area 3, about 70% on area 4. The dungeons are getting better, and I like how in area 4 Moss chases you and tries to steal your Pikmin, makes exploration a little more dangerous.

Holy fucking difficulty spike.
Like 99% of the game (including the post game content) is just braindead easy EXCEPT for 2 certain levels that are fucking impossible

Completed the Olimars Story portion of the game because I heard you need to do it to get the Purple and White Onions. That was cool how it was basically a Pikmin 1 remake.

Ive never played Pikmin. Im assuming the Switch ports of 1&2 are the best places to start?

I cannot speak for those versions of the games, but yeah if you want a taste of what Pikmin is all about, cant go wrong with them. Keep in mind the Pikmin are MUCH smarter in 3 and 4, and they die extremely easy in 1 and 2.

Finished the The 10 floor dungeon and got the white and purple onions.

2 doesn't have a time limit so it would probably be better to play that one unless you really want to play 1 too.

100% finished with all Platinums. Great fucking game.

Yeah I beat the final boss today, all treasures/rescues/cures. Still need to get all plats. This game is fantastic. Idk how Im expected to plat 7th Story. It took me several attempts to even clear it, and I barely cleared it at that.

Platinums in all Dandori battles and challenges, Louies side quests completed, all I have left to do is plat the 10 floor cave.

Yeah fuck floor 7. I got lucky with it. You could always play co-op, the stones one shot all the enemies on it.

I started a new file today, 100% cleared first two areas by Day 6. This game is so good I just jumped right back in, I almost never do that with games, I usually wait a while to replay, but this is Pikmin, we don't get a new Pikmin game very often.

Just did Giant's Hearth in almost one day. I did all the surface stuff, and the caves, but after getting out of a cave I almost immediately hit the end of day timer, so I didn't have time to do the Dandori challenge stuff. Still, pretty good imo.
