Why isnt there any kind of regulation against this? Im sure if he does it, then there will be other billionaires and nations that will do it as well. So we will have like 500,000+ satellites polluting the sky. I wish there was more public concern about this

So you're saying that there should be a rate limit for satellites?

Eventually theyll put up satellites that will block out the night sky with advertisements if there are no regulations

Are those for Starlink? If so, then good. I want faster internet and my ISP has a monopoly here as far as land lines go.

Yes.

And you won't get faster Internet for very long.

it wouldnt need to happen if the public cared about funding the government to implement proper internet infrastructure. instead you have rabid republicans screeching about small government and lower taxes

I think Elon claimed he will someday blanket every spot on earth with internet access. So like you could get online on top of Mount Everest, or in the middle of the Amazon

I do wonder if that's possible

Why's that
Starlink is running into bandwidth issues even with the few customers it has now.

It's definitely possible, but it remains to be seen how well it'll work with more mainstream use. I'm sure it'll work well in such secluded areas due to few users, but the real test for starlink is actually high population density centers.

The future of space exploration looks grim if we keep filling the space with trash before we even started.

It's unlikely that we'll fill up all of space with trash, but it is a very real possibility that we'll fill the lower Earth orbit with so much crap that it will become increasingly more difficult to successfully launch anything through.

Isnt the cloud of space debris already at dangerous levels?

We also won't fill up all of the ocean with trash, but we still already dumped way too many trash in it.
