Heh that game is a lot if fun with some odd difficulty spikes, but also the MC has that OP move that can revive him instantly too though from falling once and it stays until the battle is over.

I played one other Yakuza (0 I think?) I do like the turned based a little bit better than the beat-em-up

Though in turned based games like this, I find the strategy of the turned based sorely lacking. Maybe it becomes more relevant later. But I dont see any reason why I would block for example instead of just attacking

I am digging the story. Thats whats keeping me hooked atm.

Story is good. I also love all the Dragon Quest references I am such a mark.

It's a damn good RPG with a damn good story

i'm about 6 more games away from starting it. prefer to start in order :(.
plus i bought some of the goodies in the form of DLC (manager and i think job class).

It's definitely a sequel to the others but it still is a bit loosey goosey. As opposed to the Judgments where ya really do have to play them both (and should).

The Kazuma fight was pretty epic.

Honestly it's a better Final Fantasy game than FF16. If you think about it, the game has most of the raw ingredients needed for a good FF game. All it needs is chocobos, iconic summons, and some dude named Cid.

Yakuza 0 lets you beat people up by break dancing then pull out a baseball beat and crack their skull.

Like a Dragon is a simplified version of Dragon Quest gameplay which means you press A and scroll to your strongest move and press A for several minutes. Normal attacks are wholly unreliable since you can't control movement making intercepts random. As a matter of fact having a positioning system you can't directly control is genuinely psychotic. And on top of all that attack startups get caught on geometry way too often, God help you if a battle starts near a public park for example.

Yea, there was one street fight I encountered, where the guy was on the other side of a bush, so every. single. turn, my team had to run around it to get to him. Every so often, he'd teleport back to the sidewalk, but my team still preferred to take the long way around

The story is great though, and the side-missions have been well worth doing (The Traveling circus, so good)

im a big jrpg fan, i liked it but it is kinda overrated a tad

i hated the chapter 9 difficulty spike it was stupid

I was really hooked on what was going on with Ichiban's old boss. But I ran out of steam when they all four got tied up in chains in a warehouse and then literally saved by a literal ninja. The DQ stuff was too much for me

It's definitely a trip to do so. I started just over 2 years ago and enjoyed the journey.

The game really opens up after you get 3 party members. Only takes like 15 hours

Honestly, while I love the Yakuza games, this will probably be the only game I never replay. That dungeon in chapter 6 was waaaay too fucking long. It killed my motivation to play for a while lol

you should go through it again. just like how i dealt with my nightmare activity... batting cage.
i'm looking straight forward at the ball. and i fucking missed it again!.

I just gave up on the batting cages. Even looking up a cheat sheet on where the balls would go, the timing still screwed with me.

Shogi, however, has been my nightmare mini-game. I want that Enforcer shield, but it requires too many points. Yes, I'm aware that you can unlock it with cash later, but I want to be OP now >_>
