Personally, I think his accomplishments and overall demeanor were highly exaggerated.

Dude carried a razor and a gun "for fun", so he obviously had bad intent in mind at all times.

Also he liked to attack people, seemingly at random. With his signature move being leaving imprints from his ring on the noses.

And upon seeing a woman at a bar and finding out that she was taken, his first move was to fight her husband (even worse, in the music video he walks right up to her and starts kissing her. This implies something much much darker about his character).

Overall he is a thug and threat to society that got (rightfully) put in his place.

Not really that badass if some overprotective rando can turn him into a jigsaw puzzle with a couple of pieces gone.

Now Jim on the other hand, there was a badass. Took about a hundred knife and gunshot wounds for him to finally drop.
