Is there a website or program that can generate citations based on a topic? I know Google Scholar is useful for searching articles, but I wonder if there is something easier or faster. Maybe this is a silly question, but I thought I would ask anyway. I am most likely going to stick with scholar and my some other datebases but I was just wondering.

https://www.citationmachine.net/apa

I've been using that throughout grad school, pretty sure it can be changed to MLA as well.

It'll be able to auto cite a lot of stuff, it's probably best for journals and articles.

Thanks, that was giving so many ads lol. I wish there was service of people who will just read what you wrote and cite everything that should be cited for you. Would that be cheating?

The writing part is the hard stuff. The citing is just extra icing lol.

unfortunately yeah. citation of works is a big deal in the scholarly/research community so cheating on that is almost as bad as cheating on the work itself. because if you're cheating on the references the work never actually has to be valid.

Google scholar casts a big net, but seems to have trouble sorting by relevance. If I need to find something specific, I usually try pubmed first, then google scholar.

you know what you are right. I have 30 citations so far. But just such a pain. But I know it to prove that I didn't make stuff up.
