CXXIII was the year a concentrated effort went on for YRP right? WTH happened in CXVI that would've boosted Paine to such heights!? I feel like it took the vast majority of my and other people's efforts just to carry her to the top half... (which actually sucks because she's the best original character from X-2 and I feel like she's super underrated).

I'm sure there will be a DoC remake in between FFVIIR part 2 and 3

by next contest I'll have some dffoo weiss quotes to use

I mean what does Weiss even do in the game, frankly... he did have a good battle theme which they brought back for Intergrade at least. You can really feel the seeds in that song that Hamauzu would sprout into Saber's Edge in XIII OST

whenever I dust off my PS2 to replay the Xenosaga trilogy, I'll probably need to follow it with another DoC runthrough. Though ideally all of that gets remade/remastered/just straight re-released on some modern day platform before then though!

just sell Xenosaga Episode III for 250 dollars and it's the happiest the game will ever make you

it is funny to thing how outside like, furniture and electronics, that some random videogame is one of the highest valued items in my home. If only it were Dirge of Cerberus that was going for $250...

Well that's another thing actually - it's been so long since I tried it that I don't even know if it still works, so that fear is still there. I think I tried it a few years back to see what save files were on my memory cards so it was good back then at least! :/ (though I don't think I tried playing a game then so couldn't verify disc-reading status at that time if i didn't)

I guess I need to pull off the bandaid and try out Xenosaga Episode 1: Der Wille Zur Macht as soon as I'm done platinuming XVI, suck it Leon

If you have a slim I wouldn't expect it to work. Mine from 2006 doesn't read discs anymore. Original had a better laser so that might still work even if it's older.

Ok, it's a slim & I had to try it after that because I didn't realize this could be a thing and guess what (Leonhart don't laugh):

it won't read my copy of Xenosaga Episode I, but it will read my copy of Shadow of the Colossus. Going to try the Ep 2 and Ep 3 discs now but damn, why would it work for one game but not the other (Ep 1 disc looks fine/no scratches?) (edit: ok it's not like the disc is pristine but there's nothing that seems really noticeable or not-workable)

SUPER EDIT: CRISIS AVERTED WIPED THE DISC A LITTLE BIT WITH MY SHIRT PUT IT IN AND IT LOADED, STARTING NEW GAME TO ADMIRE LAKE TURKANA IN 20XX. Also not trying Ep 2 and 3 discs, not going to remove the Ep 1 disc until after I play/beat the game and will take my chances with the others when their time comes.

superboss, but his intro in DoC is an edgelordy speech (which i understand they brought back as his superboss intro?) so yeah... the mid-2000s were an edgy time.
