Pretty sure I use thick ball points. (As in, I am certain of the pens I use, not entirely certain if they are called ballpoints though)

Sharpie S Gel 0.7mm. I exclusively use these pens, absolute god tier. Especially the red ones for when I mark student work.

I like rollerball or gel, with a preference of rollerball.

Ballpoint can be okay but generally unless the surface i am writing on doesn't work with anything else, i don't need to use it.

my pen of choice is this:

The Parker Jotter, and it has gel ink in it right now. A great daily driver.

I prefer Fisher Space Pens, but they're so expensive ($15 to $50 and up) I never want to take them anywhere because I'd be mad if I lost one. Then I discovered the Uniball Power Tank. They cost as little as $1.60 each, so while I wouldn't want to give them away, I wouldn't be too upset if I lost one.

The best one I own is probably a rollerball or a fountain pen. But they are both more luxury pens that I don't use much. I don't want to lose them. I got them for the specific task of motivating me to work on my handwriting and trying to create a journaling habit.

The habit failed, but they are placed in such a way that if I get bored watching TV, I can pick them up and start writing random words on a notepad. And it has helped my penmanship a bit.

I have a box of Uniball Onyx I purchased back in 2019 back when I needed pens for work that I still use. Personal favorite pen. Found that they are the best pens for left handed people that I tried.

I've also used these in the past.
