Dude looks like Bo Brady(character on Days), circa 1984, if he became a pro wrestler.

He actually was a pro wrestler. "Dr. Death" Steve Williams.

I love how the article is mostly them going "no, we totally aren't going to be collecting pictures of minors, what an absurd thing to say, definitely not, no suspicions over here!"

I don't even know how this shit would work if you're freshly 18 and now you're fully prepped and ready for "Mature" content and this shit still thinks you're 15.

Ok? Then the parents should be the ones regulating what their kids play.

Instead of being shit parents and not caring what their kid plays they should regulate what their kid plays.

As it is there's kids who play GTA,COD and many other M rated games despite the ESRB saying the games shouldn't be played by anyone under 17.

Some parents would rather just drop their kid in front of a screen instead of actually being a parent
So by "being parents" you mean blindly agree with the ESRB? Why do they get to decide instead of the parents who know their kids? And people always phrase it as toddlers playing the most violent M rated games, are they shit parents if they let their 15 year old play Halo or Devil May Cry?

The parents are already the ones regulating their own kids. The ESRB has no ability to actually enforce it's rating system. Participation is, techincally speaking, based purely on a voluntery system. There is currently no law on the books saying anybody has to adhere to the system.

Instead of being shit parents and not caring what their kid plays they should regulate what their kid plays.

Again, they are already doing this. And furthermore, taking the advisement of the ESRB into consideration and determing that your kid(s) is fine playing whatever game it is they're buying them does not make somebody a bad parent. People are perfectly capable of looking at GTA5 and determining that their toddler probably shouldn't be playing it...

The ESRB does not say "these gamesshouldn't be played by anyone under 17". The ESRB advises you that content may not be appropriate for kids under 17. Then they say why they came to that conclusion, so the parents can decide for themselves. You know... that whole "self-regulate" thing you keep mentioning?

Some parents would rather just drop their kid in front of a screen instead of actually being a parent

Didn't you just spend a bunch of time complaining that the system should be self-regulated? Well guess what? The end-game of self-regulation is parents get to decide for themselves whats best for their own kids. Don't like it? Too bad! It's not your kid!
