And for a long time the turtles havent been relevant. I will take these classic versions over the other shitty designs theyve had.

errr the turtles where relevant plenty of times

both the 2003 and the 2012 shows where popular and are better designs

Yeah, there were very few times TMNT haven't been relevant enough to receive toys/video games/etc. They've never reached the peak popularity they used to have, but they've had moments of being popular again and have been relevant almost consistently.

TMNT is like Transformers in that popularity may wane some here and there, but they persist through the ages nonetheless.

and that it was not so black and white with its villains

I also prefer Korra, tbh. The teenage love triangle shit got pretty old early on, but when that aspect fell to the background and the focus expanded, it got so, so good.
