I had a coworker do a presentation on himself that went into this. He did his own research into the flaws of carbon dating apparently.

The response would be to say that God isn't real and they're too old to believe in fairy tales.

Actually the world is less than a week old. It was created last Thursday and everything in it and all of your memories were just planted there to make you think the world has been around for lots n lots of years.

did you know "Yahweh" was originally a storm god of a Near Eastern mythological pantheon in the Late Bronze Age?

If the devil planted dinosaur bones to trick us then youd think hed have planted more complete sets that were easier to find to get the ball rolling much earlier. Was he just screaming at himself when the ancients first thought they found the bone of a giant human?

The devil doesn't actually give a shit about our faith. Jack Horner made a deal to have those bones put there so he'd have job security.

I remember one time I went to a paleontology museum (Royal Tyrrell Museum) and overheard a father telling his son that fossils arent real. They are created by scientists to try and turn people away from God.

Radiometric dating. Usually other elements that have a much longer half life. A common one is uranium.

I find the devil the biggest plothole and no one seems to want to resolve it. We are told God is all powerful and all knowing. We are told God created humans with free will, not angels. That means the devil didn't choose to betray God, he was preprogrammed to, and God allowed it to happen and chose to continue letting him exist even knowing he would trick his new humans into eating the fruit. He allowed all of that, intentionally created it. That's fucked up.

No, the idea is just stupid to me.

As a Christian I like to believe that science is just humans understanding of how the world that God made works.

The Bible is rife with mistranslations, flat out changes, and other such likely missing pieces. I'm sure there's a better reason that the Bible doesn't go in depth on dinosaurs than, "but Satan!"

In the first place the modern interpretation of a devil who is responsible for all evil is a result of backwards reasoning and ignores actual historical and linguistic context.

The serpent, for example, is probably a left over from older religions and myths (nevermind the fact that even in the story the serpent actually just told the truth while Yahweh lied). Not once in the OT is satan used as a proper noun.
