Played Super Mario World a few days ago and that holds up perfectly. A lot of 2D stuff does though. Games that don't hold up well is often early 3D games because it takes time to go back and get use to wonky controls and bad cameras again.

Just played a little StarCraft... It's incredible how much game quality has deteriorated over the years. Barely any from the last 10 or so years are worth playing.

I played Doom recently, it still is awesome.
I actually beat a lot of games this year from before 2003, they were all pretty great. Castlevania: Circle of the Moon Mega Man Zero Sol Divide Ikuze! Hot Springs Table Tennis Twisted Metal 1 Arkista's Ring SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash Rockman: Battle & Chase Dead or Alive There are more I played.
