I've actually had it for a little while when it went on sale for like $5 or something on PSN but was just going through my game collection on PS5 to start something new and saw it. Figured eh, might as well start it now.

I'm level 12 and just got the steam bike. Boy this game is edgy and dumb which is right up my alley. The whole way they make the "logging into an MMO" feel is real good, I love being able to download the kinda shitty fanart from the art forum for use as my backgrounds.

Doubt this'll be a full playthrough topic, more just awareness that I started it but I'm enjoying it enough so far to keep playing.

Level 25 and just got the Job Extension

Haseo is still an asshole of a protagonist but I did read that he actually does have development through the volumes so we'll see. Arena battles can be kinda wonky because the targeting system is noooooot the best when you have multiple targets grouped together and you're just trying to focus on the leader.

Yeah, Haseo has a full character arc. Unfortunately some of it is gated behind an anime (which covers Haseo's time before the game before he became the "Terror of Death" and was in Ovan's guild) but you basically get the gist of it in passing.

...But also the same anime spoils some major reveals in Volumes 2 and 3 so you just don't win no matter what LOL.

Do not watch that anime. I mean because of the spoilers sure, but also it's bad.
