Where I spent most of my childhood still has one of these locations. Ate there last time I was home.

Nope I think there's only 1 sit down pizza hut within 25 miles of me. The rest seem to be small delivery only stores now.

There's one near me that used to be dine-in, though once COVID hit they switched to being delivery/carryout only, even once restrictions eased up.

It wasn't labeled "Classic" though and it certainly looks like a modern Pizza Hut instead of what's in the OP images, so I'm guessing I'm talking about something completely unrelated lol

I miss when places like Pizza Hut and McDonalds were vibrant and colorful. Now it's just the same boring grey and brown and all that junk.

not since the 2000s when they had the salad bar. pretty much all the pizza huts around here closed down.

i just checked and have 3 about a half hour away. 2 are express. 1 is a sit down place and see a pic from 5 years ago of the salad bar.

Do they still sell beer by the pitcher?

Yes, before Covid I used to go to their lunch buffet, which was delicious. Unfortunately, when Covid hit, they stopped that aspect and never brought it back.

No. I use to go to the lunch buffet in the 00's. I rarely ate it in the 10's. Covid and post 2020, Pick up or Dive-through. I know when I left the town I lived in 30 years. 2020-early 2022, It was just pick up. I haven't been back since, being sick and down in my back since then. Next month or so I'm going to attempt to tie up some loose ends. I drop in and maybe pick up something and see

The last time I specifically remember eating in was '98 or '99 unless you count a food court Student Union version (which I don't.)

Those didn't make it into the 2000s where i live.
I remember one of my early birthdays was at one of those with a sort of all you can eat setup

The last time I was able to was somewhere around 2011. I think it's closed now, I moved to a different part of town so I haven't been over that way in a long time.

There's only one with a dine-in near me but it isn't styled like that. The one in the area I grew up that had the classic building shape closed in the early 2000s and is now a small used car lot.

Not quite the 2020s but i did eat at one in Omak, WA in 2019. They even had the pizza buffet going (i ordered off the menu cuz the buffet looked nasty)

I've never eaten inside pizza hut. I've never ordered Pizza Hut either but occasionally my friends did while I was visiting them and that's the only time I've eaten pizza hut at all.

I went in one with the salad bar and the old pizzeria style seats and lighting as recently as about 2014 and was absolutely shocked it was still like that. I think it got torn down a few years later and replaced with a pickup only spot

I'm not sure if they still do post covid, but my local one was a full sit down restaurant with the lunch buffet and everything when I worked there in 2019/early 2020.

It's what I'm wondering. It's at a good location. It's right next to the court house and a annex with some offices. I'm sure they still get traffic

No, but that's because my province has standards. We have Pizza Experts/Delight which is far far better.

I actually thought that all the sit down ones near me closed but I took a route yesterday that I don't normally take and passed one that was still open. I was surprised.

The closest one says that their dining room is closed. Theyre probably understaffed or something. Good take out though

I've never eaten in a sit down pizza hut, ever. Didn't even know that was a thing until another topic on CE mentioned it.

It's def a thing. I use to close the store down and eat their lunch buffet. Mind you I liked that because you could try different ones. There wasva CICIs pizza that had the same concept

I haven't been since the 90s but it was one of my favourite restaurants as a kid. Went a handful of times with my family and a few birthday parties for friends.

I can still remember the smell of the place.
