Well, I found out about him on a telephone call to 1-800-USA-Sega, before the game was even released.
I had the Genesis before Sonic was even mentioned. I even have the 1/4 issue of the Sonic Comic book. I only like Sonic 2 a LOT (1 is good too) but after that, Sonic CD kinda sucks, but I still like it because it's unusual. It doesn't suck but it's just odd. Then after that, meh. I completely fell off the wagon.

^ Maybe I am thinking of those frustrating bonus stages then. Those were awkward. I loved the idea of the time traveling between stages while the music changes. from the past to the present, but I think there was still a time limit to complete the stages and you'd really have to a head of steam to trip those signs and jump.
