Did you play P4G before or after P5? My first Persona-game was P5. I tried P4G, but it felt less important than 5. I have watched discussions online, and my impression is that if you played P4G first, you enjoy that game more. I played P4G after P5 and I think P5 did an overall better job. Then I played Persona 5, now I'm kind of going back and forth between Golden and Royal. I played the original up to Futaba's palace before I lost my save and then P5R came out on PC so I played that. Maybe it's not worth it if you've already played the original (but let's be real, none of definitive Persona releases are worth it in that sense), but it's by far the best new content of any Persona re-release.
