He does need to rethink his current hairstyle, because what he's got going on now isn't working with his balding. Maybe time to shave. I feel for him and dread when I have to deal with this.

I was going to do that but then the hair loss stopped and I didn't have to cut it all off. I've had a pretty stable hairline now for 15 years.

Aging and balding are not necessarily the same thing

You can be 20 years old and balding

Or you could be 40 and have a full head of hair

As a person who always had longer hair his whole life, was also dreading the "shave day", but had started to thin way to much to justify it, took this step about a year ago and honestly the amount of female attention I got after skyrocketed to the point where I will never go back.

I'm not a vain person but at 47 I'm glad that thus far I have retained my hair very well and it is still the same color as well. But even if it went I wouldn't be that bothered about it. I still have my massive beard and that is all I really care about.

My dad went bald on the top of his head at a pretty young age. My grandpa always had good hair though so I wasn't sure how it was going to shake out for me.

I have had other issue with my health that I would trade for going bald though. In the grand scheme of things if you have no other health issues and balding is your only issue you have it good.

On one hand, I always felt going after his baldness or his messed up leg that makes him "duck walk", and other more personal things are low blows. There's plenty to criticize James for that doesn't go below the belt.

On the other, he probably does need to do something. He should embrace the balding. He did for one of his short films recently.

I feel like he thinks it doesn't work or fit for the Nerd character, but I think it would work better. Hell, have him tear out his hair in rage over a game or two. For me, I dislike his "new" shirt. That fits the nerd image less.

I liked that Boy and his Blob episode by the way. It was kind of like older AVGN episodes where he just talks about a good game and maybe nitpick about some of its flaws.

And yeah, he's been going bald for years. People were making threads like this 5 years ago. No one thought he would miraculously grow it all back.

I always like the videos more where he just talks, nitpicks, gives information and is generally pretty chill and more like James than his "nerd" persona.

All I am saying is if I am drinking 1000 Cokes and all of them taste like Coke, then I go to grab my 1001th Coke, pop it open, and some dude says "wait, that one is going to taste like sprite", I am going to have a hard time believing them. I mean he is right, I can't see the liquid in the can, so I can't really but sure, but ya know despite all that I am pretty dang sure there is going to be Coke in that can.
