Cyan is named after a color and by extension a lethal poison, so he's particularly observant about these things.He's actually named after a pepper (his name is meant to be pronounced kai-en and the official romanization of his name in Japan is "Cayenne"), which as we all know contain capsaicin, a neurotoxin. Yeah, some of the FFVI characters get caught by the 6 character name limit. I think Strago was supposed to be Stragos, too.
