After curling last night (the first time curling in over 5 years, my body aches) I weighed in at 312 this morning. Down 21 pounds from mid-August! Losing 10 pounds a month with gaining muscle mass?!? Yay!

Fell off a little bit and went back to some of my old habits and gained a little back (went from hovering around 230 to 240) but I recognized the pattern I was getting back into and got back on the wagon and have trimmed back down a bit.

Good job to all you guys making progress! Just wanted to chime in and share my experience because it used to be when I fell off I basically stayed off but it doesn't have to be that way

30 min boxing work out . Burnt 376 carls. My lizard popped out his hole when I was working out but was like I cant play with you today. He is never out in the day time. I guess he isn't use to seeing me work out .

Hell, log out and watch it if you really care about your algorithm lol This man changed my life a year and a half ago, and almost everything I know I learned from him. Sometimes you need to hear things put a different way to alter your mindset and finally make it click. Hopefully this helps someone.

(His videos can be clickbaity, but he's no bullshit. He promotes his site and products, but believe me you don't need to pay a dime to get literally all the information you need from his channel.)

That was a good video but it can be simplified even more.

If you want to be HEALTHIER, regardless of what that looks like to you, those goals and the changes need to be lifestyle changes. They can't be something you quickly change and then go back to your current habits. Your current lifestyle led to wherever you are and if that isn't where you want to be, you change the lifestyle.

If you wanna lose 5 pounds to better fit a dress and then go back to your current weight after... sure do a diet. End that diet when your event has come and gone. But if you want to make changes that you want to stay with you, lifestyle changes. Lifestyle changes also need to be done slowly, in steps.

Wii scale. This seemly runs lower then my normal scale so I don't what to trust. But I will keep track of the weight loss more so then numbers.

Last week. 258.9
This week. 248.8

Going to have my favorite junk meal today. Chicken sandwich. But still keep into my micros. I need to get some dumb bells to make sure I don't lose all my muscle. I have a band. But I don't know how well they work.

My parents are visiting and they went to the farmers market. On their way back, my mom asked me to order some wings for her from a nearby place. Usually, I would use this opportunity to get my parents to buy me dinner as well (lol), but I resisted the temptation and only ordered her meal. I didnt even order an extra portion of chips. It may seem like a small thing, but I would normally devour a whole tray of those fried chips. But I said nope, not today, Im sticking to my diet.

..but I am taking to drums. That is the tax for calling it in.

That is kinda my go-to. I kinda find out in terms of my own habits that my regular meals were pretty health (not perfect, but not bad) but especially after supper I would never eat healthy, I would just eat for pure pleasure. Also during most days I never actually felt super hungry? I couldn't tell you the last time I was starving.

So I decided to try intermittent fasting since I would eat mostly because either it was tasty or because you are supposed to eat at certain times. It worked very well for me. I currently do I guess a 10/14, as that works well in my life.

I have a 10 hour window where I eat (and mostly just breakfast and supper, though I indulge in lunch whenever I want to without a worry) and a 14 hour window I don't.

I used to intermittent fast, but then I realized I could acheive the same thing by just eating smaller meals throughout the day, totalling up a small calorie count, so instead of eating 5-6 pieces of pizza for my meal every day, I'd eat 2 in the morning, and 4 in the afternoon/evening

I think I am losing muscle mass. I checked it on my phone and my body is made up of a more percentage of fat and less percentage of muscle then the last time I checked it. So I don't know what is going on. I e-mailed my doctor to see if they can test my body comp but I don't know. I guess I need to start hitting some weights ? OR stop doing cardio ?

Okay I have some Resistance bands, so I am going to add some curls to my life. I am also going to pick up some dumbbells and add things like dumbbell bench press. I like the bands better, but I know things like the press would be hard on those. And I will get an ab roller. Dang it never gets easier. Also thank you.

About 2 months ago or so, I was 170lb. I go to the gym, but I had like beer gut. I never got into counting calories or checking how many calories what I was eating had.

I started recently tracking my stuff, and going on walks more to go into calory deficit.

I'm now down to 163.8. So yay!

So I had a medical emergency today. I started slurring my words really had and went into a fib. Called my doctor they were like go to the er. I was like I'm too poor see ya tomorrow

Also I gained weight so the sucks. Still down over all.

So far I've been doing very well with altering my relationship with food. I am being much more mindful in my consumption, not leaning on it and eating when I'm 'bored' or feeling like trash.

First few days were brutal and I felt constantly hungry, but since then it's felt much more manageable. My mind isn't hyperfixated on the quick mood repair a candy bar or bag of chips would provide.

I do need to put the breaks on pop and energy drink consumption too though. Even with zero sugar stuff it's just a remnant of old habits and I want to rid myself of it.

I would recommend seeing if you can find a seltzer drink you like. Im not a fan of most seltzers, but in cutting out beer I turned to hop water which is essentially seltzer water infused with hops and sometimes lemon juice, and I found a local brand that tastes flavorful and good while also being basically just water

you could of course switch to water itself but that can be harder

Sometimes that shit just happens. There's like a thousand different factors at play. It's part of why I like to weigh myself multiple times daily and kind of just graph the results at the end if a few weeks. I get less hung up on individual weigh ins
