Very topical vent that is super relevant to today's youth.
I'm getting antsy about BG3 on Saturday and just wanted to install and boot up DA:O on my laptop to mess around, having only ever played it on Xbox. Can't you use something like Joy2Key to force the button mappings?

This bothers me about Dead Rising 2 on Steam as well. Every year or so, I get an itch to play it, and I just can't because it doesn't let me use a controller and the mouse/keyboard controls are a joke.
