Thinking about doing a shuffler. I want games that
-I can play on an N64 controller and would work in my...program. N64, Genesis, GBA, and their predecessors should be fine, don't really wanna mess with anything later or PC
-Are not going to require me to keep track of complicated maps or have a lot of story, since I'll not really be able to keep a train of thought (you'll notice I skipped Zelda, Metroid, and Castlevania)
-Preferably, are multiple game series
-Preferably, are 2D platformers

I have
Mario (1, 2, 3, Land?s?, World, 64)
Yoshi (Cookie, Island, Island 2?, Story)
DK (1, 2, 3, GB?, 64)
Starfox (1, 64)
Wario (1, 2, 3, 4?)
Sonic (1, 2, 3+K, Rush, es?, Battle?)
Bombersman (?)
Kirbies
Ninjas Gaiden
Punchout (1, Super)
Mega Man
Turtles
Jazz Jackrabbit???
Commander Keen???
Rayman???

You could try the classic Castlevania games? The ones that are fully stage-based.

Aside from that, Contra (Specifically Hard Corps) is pretty solid fun. Donkey Kong Country series is another big one. For more obscure stuff, some of the Wonder Boy games are solid, though they dabble in complex world structures (Nothing too unmanageable though). Then there's a few cool ones where there's only like, 2 games, such as StarTropics, Rocket Knight, Gunstar Heroes, Power Blade... just to name a few. Also the Capcom Disney games if you throw them into being a unified series (Most of them are good, but there are some stinkers). There's also the Shinobi games, which are about 50/50 on the good vs. bad scale.

For stuff that might fit but might not, Kunio-kun is a good brawler series with most of them having easily accessible fan translations. The OutRun games are fun as hell too, and I think most of the retro ones are available on Genesis in some form. The Gargoyle's Quest trilogy is great too, though the final one does veer into non-linearity pretty heavily.

That's all I can think of right now, hope any of it is helpful!
