Yeah but my license is almost filled so soon I'll have to move.

Can't spend money to house people, but can spend money to remove benches or add obstacles on every flat surface in a city.

Why even bother having a leaning post at all? They could just have literally nothing there at all and achieve the same thing. They literally built it as a giant middle finger to the homeless.

Guys like that would lean on a thorn tree or a rack of watermelons just to pull that pose off.

Personally I'm pretty indifferent between a bench or a "leaning bar," but I definitely want a bus shelter to provide shelter from the rain and sun.

I don't think it should replace all benches though, as I suspect that they are not as suitable for people with certain physical disabilities.

You don't really see this in "red" cities. The cops just show up, and rather strongly suggests the homeless go somewhere else.

But yeah, I hate all of these measures meant to be hateful and screw over the poor and the homeless. They wouldn't do this shit if rich people ever rode on there, but of course the rich usually have their own buses when they ride on them.

From a health perspective, It's better for a lot of the population that spends too much time sitting. I had really bad circulation of my feet because I spent too much time sitting.

Nobody is getting rid of bus benches because of health initiatives.

This disingenuous horseshit from the same people that threw an entire goddamn tantrum over Michelle Obama is certainly interesting.

If government felt they could get away with it, they'd throw every homeless person into a camp. You can tell that is what they really want to do.

We got into a situation where bus riders were losing access to the benchespeople were basically occupying them 24 hours a day, he said. This at least restored the shelters for bus riders.

Michelle Obama pushed for healthier diets. Republicans lambasted her for one dumbass reason or another. Those same people are now pushing measures like the one in the OP under the pretense of healthier lifestyles, when it's really about punishing homeless people.
