Been saying for years now that DLSS was the key to helping whatever the next Switch iteration was close the power gap so it's great to see they're supposedly going to be leveraging it.

If they just seamlessly include all services on the Switch in the Switch 2, make it fully backwards compatible, basically make it a huge upgrade rather than a "new" console, I'd be so happy.

This feels in line with what I thought would happen with Furukawa replacing Iwata. He's a more traditional CEO and targeting more power on the same idea seemed like the no brainer over trying to reinvent video games again

I'm not sure about DLSS. I haven't used it myself, but I've seen people say it can give games a look that's a bit off? Not sure how accurate that is. FSR looked pretty good in Tears of the Kingdom.

Oh, you don't like getting the same retro games we've had since Wii six years into the console's life?

If nothing else, PLEASE let this be BC this time. Please just add to what's already there instead of starting from scratch and taking the console's entire life cycle to get to where we are for the fourth time.

During the 2.0 days it was pretty rocky in some cases. Now though, the average game looks great with it on. Extremely close to native in many cases - plus some weird outliers like Death Stranding where using it actually looks better than native. Notably, on average the results look far better than FSR, though you'd certainly hope that would be the case with a proprietary technology. (And it's worth mentioning that the gap between the two solutions is reportedly about to close enormously with FSR 3.0!)
