How about, instead of asking us to seek understanding of bigots, ragnarokius DnD the others should be asking those bigots to become more self-aware of their attitudes and why they're seen as repugnant.

One of the problems I have to pull myself back from expressing is that I never see these kinds of people confront the bigots in any way. I hold back on that though because maybe I'm just conveniently always missing these people engaging with the bigots and trying to get them to see the error of their ways.

All I can say is that I've never once heard anyone intelligently explain how governmental oppression of anyone that has not committed a criminal act has been the morally righteous standing.

All other actions surrounding abortion laws and rhetoric verify this. Lack of safety nets to ensure the baby is raised well shows they do not care about the baby.

Letting women fucking die of infection from the septic biomass that died inside of them because removing it would be an abortion proves that it was never even about ensuring a baby is born.

Attempts at reducing easy access to contraception thus ensuring more unwanted pregnancies occur in an environment where options to terminate those pregnancies are also reduced indicates that it is not just about saving babies, because if it was why take away the first line of defense in abortion prevention? Unless you actually WANT more women getting pregnant... so maybe it IS an attempt at controlling women's bodies? Wow who woulda fuckin thought.

We had a topic on the Pro Wrestling Social Board were we did the script for GTA VC one characters line per post. Totally organic. Someone just started it and we all chimed in. It was a lot of fun. That was maybe ~15 years ago now? Crazy how time flies.

Great post I'd like to expand upon.

People pretty accurately point out that the vast majority of Republicans in government or on their right-wing propagandist networks are just performantive and don't actually hold those views, but they never stop to ask themselves...who are they performing for, then?

They're performing for their voters, the people who do actually want this to be what America looks like and to have their Christo-fascism the law of the land.

But it's interesting because so many people, from even progressive media all the way down to the common individual, also try to give the average Republican every excuse in the playbook about how they're "not that bad" or "not all evil", and yet once again the GOP behaves the way it does to specifically court the voters who do actually believe that shit.

It is incumbent on right-wingers in the USA to prove they're not Christo-fascists wishing for domestic terrorism on a daily basis since that is what their ideological goals reflect.

Now, being a former right-winger myself I do know a bit of what it's like, and I get that the majority of people do not consider themselves bigoted or evil, because right-wing propaganda and messaging is damn good at indoctrination. However, we must still address the fact that the things they desire, regardless of how "noble" they think their intentions are, can be objectively evil.
