ok folks my need to deliver has won out again so in lieu of doing a more robust historical iron man analysis I slapped together the briefer original version I had in mind so not really exciting but nice to see at a glance.

I don't know if someone's tied or topped Ifrit's 6 iron mans since Day 75 so let's just assume no one did. I know that Vanille is the longevity leader, and still adding to that total! If she makes it to the Top 10 she'll set the new longevity record for the leftyera, it seems.

Pretty interesting how, other than last year, there's always one FoG survivor who's able to make a run of things! As for last year, the best FoG survivor (and 4th longest overall streak) was Ashe who went 47 extra days, from Day 12 to 59. Ashe's survival Day 12 is what caused Yuffie's ouster and considering her past Iron Man runs, one has to wonder what could have been...

Laguna's the sole remaining contest entrant and sure enough, Xuxon and ecksgem each gave him their double nomination! And still backing him to this day, naturally.

(Leonhart, pj, BlackDra90n and swordz make up the other 4 noms he received but I don't know if any of those were trades)

contest XIV was early 2012 and assuming 2 contests per year for most of raytan era, contest VIII after XII North American release so let's say first half 2007

XIV: 2012
XIII: 2010 (later in year)
XII: 2009
X and XI: 2008
VIII and IX: 2007
VI and VII: 2006
IV and V: 2005
II and III: 2004
I: 2003

VIII with the XII character debuts being early 2007 makes sense. Crisis Core was early 2008 and Zack debut was Contest XI so that also fits. and I feel like Summer 2003 was the peak contest time, but maybe that's just me...

actually where that falls apart is X-2 being a November 2003 release so I'd expect contest IV to be in 2004. Unless he took a while before playing it.

He put Buddy, Garik and Leblanc in there in Contest IV, but Paine not until contest V.

I wager he never played X-2 at all.

but Yuna and Rikku were among his favorite final fantasy characters! Surely he wouldn't pass up an opportunity to revisit them in a new game.

Maybe he subscribed to the Leblanc > Paine camp ("there are dozens of us... DOZENS!") and considered Buddy to be a good buddy for the gang. Garik will remain the great mystery of our time...

At least Garik's legacy isn't what I assume to be the only character to debut in a contest, finish in last, and then never return. I'm convinced that raytan didn't play a lot of these games, even the weirdest weirdos of you all wouldn't have so many strange opinions on multiple different games. Remember what he put in from Tactics and what he did not.
