I had it, and I always seem to forget about it. It felt like such an outlier among later SNES games.

GOAT tier SNES game.

I liked the Secret of Mana remake they did, but I would have much preferred if they had of done it with Evermore.

Great game but magic system has the same problem all component based magic does, you never cast because you don't want to waste resources. There is a reason I houserule out components for spellcasting in D&D.

The forest in the middle of the game was the only time I ever had to hand draw a map to find my way through. Overall I liked it though, although the Cecil cameo came out of nowhere.

I was always interested in it, and it was always marketed as "a jrpg made by Westerners for Western gamers." Tried it years later and just found it kind of meh. Didn't have that special feeling you got playing games like Secret of Mana or even the extremely weird Illusion of Gaia.
