That Infinite Loki card back is the best card back in the entire game IMO

Easily yeah. Doubly so since Loki is my favorite but it just looks really nice. The season pass loki back isn't nearly as good.

This is the deck I'm using. Have climbed to 95 with it so far. It's a fairly standard discard deck with Loki + Quinjet + Collector in it. I don't actually play Loki all that much since he interferes with MODOK + swarm + Morbeus stuff but he's nice when the pieces don't quite work right. (Because of Swarm I can keep my hand strong for him)

Its very strong in Loki mirrors too. Their deck tends to work better than my deck if we both swap.

Not super different from Discard stuff I was already using. I might try that out for fun and replace Loki with Sif or something since I currently lack him

If you actually have samurai I think a variant that runs Moon Knight + Stature instead of Loki + Quinjet would be decent. Zabu maybe could have value too but Im not sure what you take out.

I've considered going to that myself but I think Loki is clutch in a lot of match-ups.

I'd probably try Moon Knight + Gambit if you have none of the above. Sif is OK too but I really think if you're running swarm + morbeus + collector that hitting Apoc isn't a big deal and the disruption those two give is better.

Like I'm more than happy to just drop a 12 power Apocalyse. If you've got Morbeus and Collector doing their thing Apoc + a bunch of swarms usually wins even if he's not buffed much.

I thought this was hilarious because I used Loki to use his killmonger to kill his nova to buff his Mysterio and make him lose Bar With No Name. Classic. Oh also his Luke Cage to remove the drawback of negative zone was nice too.

Overall High Evo was still more of a problem for this deck than Alioth. Loki dunking on Alioth hard certainly helps.

Honestly it wasn't too bad I had to take some breaks today for work (gross) so it's not like I was playing too much. Probably took 2-3 hours of play. Not too hard. Will see if I can do it without OP Loki someday since I'm sure he gets nerfed eventually. (Minimum 1 to me doesn't really matter a lot though)

Side note I think Silver Samurai was actually the MVP over Loki. Wong 4 into Samurai 5 generated a lot of 4 cube wins when Swarm was in hand and Collector + Morbeus were in play. Samurai 4 into Loki (+ Blade/Wing) 5 tended to be really strong too.

No Sif in an Apocalypse deck feels weird lol. Especially after just getting buffed.

with High Evo Hulk still a very real threat I think you would want the option to build up a big Apocalypse to compete with it

You compete with High Evo Hulk by buffing Collector and Morbeus to a million or Apocalypse + 2-6 free swarms. I'm nor saying Sif is bad just that I think more disruption is better.

I'll just say in my deck (which to be fair is different than a deck without Loki) I've literally never had a game where I was like "if only Apocalypse was 4 stronger I would have won"

Your deck -Quin and SS, +Gambit and MK has brought me back to the 80's from 62 with relative ease.

We'll just have to see if it can keep going lol

Sometimes I feel like off-meta can be better because it is unexpected and people are less likely to have the counters.

Yeah I hit legend last month with a Living Tribunal deck lol. No idea if it could work this season or not but Cosmo is used regularly to protect the combo lane so maybe it could beat Alioth.

I had Tribunal pinned until Alioth came out then unpinned it and next card was Alioth so I pinned that lol

WHY do I never see Venom->Zola coming? Is it because Im stupid?

Also, the games fast forward mechanic screwed me. I played Silver Samurai on Bar Sinister against an opponent that I knew had Knull somewhere in his hand/deck. But after the first discard, the game fast forwarded past the rest of the discards so I had to trust that Knull was probably one of the 4 cards discarded in his hand (bc it has a base power of 0right? Or does it display his power in your hand??).

and then i lost to a 172 power Knull on T6.

his power counts in hand, yes its stupid and causes issues like that

As much as I love playing destroy decks because they consist of my favourite characters I have such disdain for other people that play them lol

That and decks meant to fuck with my side of the board or disrupt my ability to play my deck.

They admit that its inconsistent and is only because they havent implemented a way for the game to display what his power would be otherwise, so I imagine at some time in the future it will be different

I mean Samurai will often hit knull anyway but you probably play him turn 4 if you suspect destroy so he hasn't grown much yet.

I've noticed a lot of people retreat against this deck even if I don't feel like it's a guaranteed win. Much different than any of the meta decks I try and play, where I am the one staying because I'm positive I have the win and they pull out the one card that beats me despite it making no sense in their deck.

Its because people see you discarding and expect a Hela to bring them all back.

Just had an incredible confluence of events with the Lopen Tribute Deck.

Started with Loki in hand, Turn 1 I play Quinjet onto Triskelion. Turn 2, I have priority and play Collector on the same turn they play Black Widow. Turn 3, I play Loki and get half their deck at -2 cost, lol.
