Obviously some misses but when you get something solid with that lore it's addicting Last episode of Ahsoka and the last episode of Obi Wan made me feel like an awestruck kid again. Zithers 09/13/23 4:33:11 PM #20:	it looked like a lived-in scifi/fantasy world whereas before the new hollywood movement, most scifi films looked pretty artificial and campy, taking place on very obvious sets. most scifi/fantasy blockbuster filmmakers try to rip off star wars. what they don't realize is you can't just rip off star wars and hope to capture that magic. the whole reason it worked for lucas is that he was ripping off samurai movies, old serials, westerns, and using real world stuff like the war in vietnam to inspire him in one single work of art. filmmakers today don't have such varied influences which is why their work feels stale. in addition to everything being green screened to death instead of actually filming out in tunisia (on actual film instead of digital cameras) or wherever the fuck where it would look infinitely better. since lucas did all of this it didnt really matter if the acting or dialogue wasnt that great or the fact that the plot was fairly generic. it all felt interesting because of the things surrounding that. hope this helps --- http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m02lct2g9l1qdlvg6o1_500.gif https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/1283-quality-cinema-club <cite>Zithers posted [p:976042250] in Why is Sta...
